Lillestrøm Municipality deploys AI document checks in 2023 with Tieto

Lillestrøm Municipality faced the challenge of handling a growing volume of sensitive documents after a privacy leak occurred. To prevent future errors, the municipality contacted vendor Tieto for support, seeking to use AI functionality within the Public 360° case and document management solution.

The solution developed with Tieto was a system called Archive Inspector, which uses artificial intelligence to automatically check documents for sensitive information. As a result, the municipality has gained extra security in its operations and is confident it is doing everything possible to protect citizen privacy. Tieto has piloted this AI capability and aims for it to be used by all municipalities and public bodies using its services.
