Koillis-Satakunnan Sähkö Oy, an electricity sales and network business in Western Finland, faced the challenge of needing a new modern network information system to manage the life cycle of its electricity distribution network. Tieto implemented its NIS solution, a modern browser-based system built on the ArcGIS platform. The results included a significantly simplified system map and a more unified solution for managing the network's life cycle. Users were highly satisfied with the versatile web interface, and the system made annual reporting to authorities more efficient. Tieto's solution provided operational and cost efficiency by replacing several different systems with one comprehensive, cloud-based solution.
