Mohawk Industries, a major flooring manufacturer, was facing high costs and a lack of agility from its legacy 4-socket servers running its critical SAP HANA landscape. The need for a hardware refresh to support new SAP requirements was proving to be an expensive and time-consuming proposition. TidalScale provided a solution using its Software-Defined Server platform, which virtualizes commodity hardware.

By implementing TidalScale on four standard Cisco 2-socket servers, Mohawk was able to quickly create larger, virtual systems on demand for SAP HANA. This solution cut their infrastructure costs in half compared to typical servers while delivering the same or better performance. The results provided greater business agility, eliminated long hardware procurement and sizing cycles, and lowered overall operating costs.
