Vestas, a global market leader in manufacturing and servicing wind turbines, faced a data and analytics challenge: turbines generate massive amounts of data but the company’s sprawling tech stack—Tableau, Power BI, Excel and many bespoke tools—was costly to maintain, hard to scale, and slowed delivery of critical outputs like risk reports. With users and business processes depending on timely insights, Vestas needed a new, unified platform to avoid missed decisions and lost revenue.

Vestas partnered with TIBCO, adopting TIBCO Spotfire and its broader Fast Data platform as a single point of access for interactive, self-service analytics. A three‑month proof of concept covered 12 major use cases with a four‑person team, and delivered on‑demand analyses (including Monte Carlo simulations on 10 years of wind data), higher workforce productivity through templates and governed data connections, and democratized analytics across the business—uncovering new use cases in forecasting, social analytics, and resource planning.
