SofTrek Corporation, maker of ClearView CRM for mid-to-large nonprofit fundraisers, needed to improve analytics and reporting after customers rejected legacy options like Oracle Reports and Business Objects for being inflexible, costly, and hard to adopt. Enhanced, embedded reporting was the most frequent customer request to help nonprofits grow their donor base and streamline fundraising workflows.

SofTrek embedded Jaspersoft’s open-source BI to provide in-app, cloud- and on-site reporting with a drag-and-drop designer and dashboard panels. The change halved report development time (from ~40 to ~20 hours), delivered a 35–40% cost benefit versus prior solutions, produced a library of 100+ standard reports, and improved usability, visual appeal and marketability of ClearView CRM.
