Societe Generale Uses Integration to Reduce Costs, Improve Decision-Making

Societe Generale, a leading European bank, faced costly silos after Risk, HR, Accounting, Procurement and other business units built separate, incompatible information systems that produced data discrepancies and hindered decision-making. To industrialize integration and govern data exchanges across the group, the bank launched the Système d’Echange Groupe (SEG).

Using TIBCO integration technologies and an agile, four-week delivery cadence, Societe Generale built SEG in seven months and implemented more than 1,000 real‑time data flows for 45 partners. The platform standardized and deduplicated data exchanges, reduced development and maintenance costs, improved data quality, security and reuse, sped onboarding, and set the stage to grow flows to an expected 1,600.
