Quinte Health Care (QHC) is a four‑hospital system serving 160,000 residents in Ontario. Faced with Ontario’s Health System Funding Reform—which made 60% of funding contingent on demographics, referrals, and outcomes—QHC needed to find roughly $10 million in savings from a $160 million budget while improving care quality and reducing variability across hospitals.

QHC adopted TIBCO’s data warehouse and analytics platform, combining national benchmarking data with its own systems into a single portal used by more than 300 staff. Interactive dashboards and KPIs let clinicians and managers drill into cost and quality drivers (for example, revealing best practices in COPD care), enabling targeted changes that improved outcomes and operational efficiency and helped realize the $10M in savings, with further gains expected from predictive analytics.
