Organon Bridges the Data Gap Between Basic Research and Clinical Trials with TIBCO Spotfire

Organon, a global biopharmaceutical company focused on therapeutic areas such as gynecology, fertility, neuroscience and anesthesia, faced a critical gap between the data available to chemists, biologists, clinicians and statisticians and their ability to analyze it. Massive, disparate datasets stored across multiple systems and reliance on Excel-created “islands” of information slowed decision-making, hindered translational science, and limited efficient data sharing across R&D teams.

To address this, Organon deployed the TIBCO Spotfire enterprise analytics platform across its discovery research organization, using its data-integration, scalability, guided workflows and interactive visualizations to bring diverse datasets into a single analysis environment. The rollout reduced time spent on data retrieval and analysis, replaced several specialized tools, improved cross-discipline collaboration and analysis quality, and helped scientists more quickly identify promising or toxic compounds—supporting better portfolio decisions and accelerating the path from discovery to clinical development.
