ISTAT Maximizes Data Value with TIBCO

The Italian National Institute of Statistics (ISTAT) embarked on a modernization program to improve the quality and efficiency of public statistics used for policy and decision‑making. ISTAT needed a secure, scalable solution to protect confidential data from individuals, businesses and institutions while enabling expert users to build dashboards and KPIs and allowing less technical users to access summaries and trends.

ISTAT deployed TIBCO Spotfire with an Integrated Registry System and a Registry Analytics Framework to consolidate, validate and classify data for role‑based access. The platform turned complex datasets into usable, visual and geographic insights, ensured privacy and compliance, boosted cross‑department collaboration, and accelerated interpretation of large volumes of data—capabilities ISTAT is extending to support other public institutions.
