IDS Improves Data Integrity with Jaspersoft

Independent Data Services (IDS) provides web-delivered operational analysis and reporting for upstream oil & gas and related industries, helping customers move to the digital oilfield and offering ANOVA-as-a-Service. Their core challenge was data quality and consistency: every client used different codes, formats and structures, making benchmarking and knowledge sharing unreliable. IDS needed a flexible, scalable tool that could align diverse datasets by time or depth, be easy to integrate, and tell the data story in industry terms.

IDS implemented TIBCO Jaspersoft and built Lean Automated Reporting (LAR) to ingest sensor and state-detection data, apply curated ANOVA and machine learning, and produce human-readable reports and integrated dashboards. The solution reduced manual data entry and human error, cut workload by nearly half, accelerated delivery of proofs of concept and visualizations, and opened new client opportunities—driving projected client growth of 50–100%—while freeing developers to focus on further visualization and operational automation.
