Halifax Health Spreads Business Intelligence throughout the Enterprise

Halifax Health, the largest hospital in Daytona Beach, Florida, needed a modern analytics environment to make operational and clinical data from Meditech, TeleTracking, eSignature, Kronos, and Allscripts usable for managers and front-line staff. Leaders wanted real‑time, mobile dashboards and KPI-driven views for inpatient quality, patient safety, core measures and financials, plus drill-down, offline analysis, report scheduling and intelligent distribution—capabilities their legacy tools could not provide.

Halifax implemented TIBCO’s self-service analytics platform, built a SQL Server data warehouse and a unified BI layer called BRAIN, and deployed dozens of dashboards and apps (including a minute‑by‑minute ED dashboard and alerts for case managers). The result: faster, automated reporting (some reports cut from hours to minutes), broader self‑service adoption across clinical and financial teams, improved operational decision‑making, and better compliance and care coordination.
