GICHD Unearths Community Progress on Reducing Landmine Contamination

The Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD) helps reduce the impact of mines and explosive remnants worldwide and developed IMSMA in 1999 to capture country-level mine-action data. Facing over 60 contaminated countries and complaints that IMSMA wasn’t an analytics or reporting tool, GICHD needed a way to make data more accessible, visible, and usable for planning and prioritization.

GICHD built the Mine Action Intelligence Tool (MINT) on TIBCO Jaspersoft to provide an intuitive, affordable, multi-tenant analytics platform with dashboards, complex reporting, and easy sharing. The result: broader, low-cost access for partners, stronger data-quality monitoring, clear visualizations of two-year progress and impact, growing global adoption and training, and improved decision-making across programs (>100 registered MINT users worldwide).
