Eiffage Becomes Proactive in its Financial Management with TIBCO Spotfire Software

The Eiffage Group, a €15 billion French construction and infrastructure company operating in 50 countries with 64,000 employees, needed better visibility into its high-volume financial operations. Its shared services center (CSP)—responsible for supplier relations, transaction management, and accounting—needed a self-service application for a team of six auditors to quickly detect anomalies and suspicious transactions (for example, duplicate payments) and support investigations across millions of contracts.

Eiffage implemented TIBCO Spotfire (with TIBCO BusinessEvents) to build custom dashboards and analytics, using Python and a web frontend to give auditors autonomous data-wrangling and investigation capabilities. With one full-time Spotfire resource plus an ERP expert, the team produced dozens of monitoring indicators in eight weeks, improved real-time visibility into payment securitization and delays, enabled proactive intervention before penalties, and achieved clear ROI (three Spotfire administrators now support the solution).
