Discovery Partner Markets (DPM) uses the Vitality wellness platform to help insurers worldwide improve policyholder health and reward activity. DPM faced intense, costly, and time-consuming integration demands—working with 10–18 rewards partners per country across multiple regions—plus localization requirements that risked member experience and opened the door to competitors. The company needed a common, standardized, secure global integration model that could be easily reused and localized.
DPM partnered with TIBCO, using an ESB built on TIBCO BusinessWorks and Enterprise Message Service and monitoring with Spotfire, to decouple components and expose reusable services to apps and websites. The solution delivered IoT-grade, guaranteed messaging for real-time wearable data (supporting the Apple Watch Active Reward), cut duplication of effort by about 80–90%, and provided the security, reliability, and scalability insurers require—enabling faster regional rollouts, lower costs, and stronger partner confidence while positioning DPM for cloud and microservices.
