Desigual, a popular Spanish design house, set out to create an "unlimited shopping experience" by making any product available anytime, anywhere and on any device. The company needed a single view of customers, catalogs and stock to remove pain points and personalize service, but a complex point-to-point technical environment prevented a 360-degree view and limited scalability and omnichannel capabilities.
Working with TIBCO, Desigual rebuilt its architecture, launched the DSOUL app and deployed TIBCO BusinessWorks Container Edition to unify catalogs, inventory and purchase histories in real time. The platform empowers store staff, enables assisted-shopping and Smart Fitting Room upsells, handles peak volumes (about 20,000 API calls/day), and has driven measurable impact — roughly 2% of in-store sales across four European markets — while delivering a true omnichannel shopping experience.
