Candy maker Cloetta merges local and global data using TIBCO Data Virtualization

Cloetta, a leading confectionery maker in the Nordics and the Netherlands with products in over 40 markets, faced slow, manual, error-prone reporting because most data lived in an EDW with long latency. High volumes of local and external, often unstructured data were scattered across systems, making it difficult and costly to combine global, local, internal, and external sources in a timely, accessible way.

Working with partner Connected Data Group, Cloetta added TIBCO Data Virtualization as a fast layer alongside its EDW, enabling real-time access to combined datasets and a path toward a logical data warehouse. The change sped up reporting, saved hundreds/thousands of hours and euros annually, improved forecast accuracy and supply-chain insight, and optimized campaigning, in-store sales, and inventory management while enabling broader self-service and one version of the truth.
