Brembo, a global leader in braking systems for cars, motorcycles and commercial vehicles, tasked its IT department with advancing an Industry 4.0 smart factory and overhauling its analytics infrastructure. The company needed an on‑premises and cloud-capable platform that could make sense of big data, enable business users to access and analyze all data, and let data scientists embed R models for deeper statistical analysis.

Brembo selected TIBCO Spotfire for its ease of use, performance and openness to new technologies; the platform is now used across manufacturing, R&D, procurement and quality control. Spotfire enabled clustering of foundry cooling curves, predictive maintenance and lifespan prediction for machine tools, plus KPI development for noise testing—resulting in industrialized statistical models, over 2,000 users and organization‑wide analytics adoption for production and supply‑chain monitoring.
