Vaasan Oy, the Finnish bakery group with many well-known Baltic brands, faced fragmented product master data spread across multiple legacy tools, a 20-year-old system built for just a few users, weak governance, slow response to simple data inquiries and suboptimal product creation processes. To address this, Vaasan Oy selected the EBX5 master data platform from TIBCO EBX as its master data management solution.

TIBCO EBX implemented a centralized “single source of truth” for product master data with new governance, global processes and integrations to ERP, planning and downstream systems, plus a focused data‑cleansing program and phased pilot/rollout (pilot March 2015, rollout May 2015). The effort reduced single product records from 4,500 to 1,500 and sales products from 4,500 to 2,500, standardized ~300–350 information fields, and delivered measurably higher data quality, faster inquiry handling and consistent master data distribution across Vaasan Oy’s systems.
