A TIBCO EBX Case Study
Médecins Sans Frontières faced a cross‑organization codification challenge: create one central master‑data repository to harmonize product information across 23 sections and 5 operational centres, improve interoperability, standardize code lists and kit definitions, and shorten the time from approval to field availability. To meet these goals they implemented a central MDM using the TIBCO EBX platform to drive the Codification Project and support product master‑data management, workflows and governance.
TIBCO EBX was used to load international articles and technical sheets, run match/dedupe/clean processes, implement approval workflows, publish catalogs and provide data‑quality dashboards alongside governance and training. The effort delivered concrete, measurable outputs under TIBCO EBX: 16,338 standard articles and 16,656 technical sheets with just 318 non‑standard items (385 outdated and 3,412 discontinued flagged), enabled catalog production and real‑time links to field systems, and produced clearer governance and assortment rationalization across MSF.
