McDermott International, a global EPCI (engineering, procurement, construction and installation) company, needed reliable master and reference data to execute large, high‑value offshore and subsea projects across multiple locations, vendors and long delivery cycles. To support project scheduling, cost tracking, procurement and a consistent work‑breakdown structure (WBS), McDermott adopted TIBCO EBX (EBX5) as its master data management platform to underpin its Project Analytics & Reporting System (PARS).

Using TIBCO EBX, McDermott centralized WBS and multi‑domain master data into an operational data store, data mart and BI dashboards within PARS, and implemented governance workflows for project cost control mapping and authoring. The TIBCO EBX solution delivered standardized reference data, faster cross‑project analysis and clearer cost/progress reporting, giving project managers improved visibility and control over schedules, budgets and resources for better project execution.
