Faurecia, a global automotive equipment supplier with ~84,000 employees, 270 sites and operations in 33 countries, faced the challenge of delivering multi‑domain Master Data Management (MDM) in parallel with a global SAP (FCS) harmonization. After an unsuccessful first MDM attempt, Faurecia ran an RFQ/POC and chose CGI as integrator and TIBCO EBX as the MDM platform to provide a flexible, workflow‑driven master data hub for customers, suppliers, organization and program data.

Using TIBCO EBX, Faurecia implemented a centralized MDM repository with adaptable data models, approval workflows, a follow‑the‑sun data stewardship organization and integrations into multiple regional SAP instances via middleware. The solution created a single point of truth across Faurecia’s global SAP footprint (dozens of countries and hundreds of sites), improved data quality and governance, reduced errors such as incorrect payment terms, and supported corporate programs like Finance Shared Services and multi‑SAP deployments.
