CargoSmart, a global shipment management software provider, faced growing pressure from a more dynamic shipping industry, including increased competition, changing ocean carrier alliances, and customer demand for better visibility and faster decisions. To address these challenges, CargoSmart used TIBCO Cloud™ Mashery-enabled capabilities alongside TIBCO integration, TIBCO BusinessEvents, and TIBCO Spotfire to build a more data-driven, scalable platform for advanced analytics and real-time dashboards.

With TIBCO Cloud™ Mashery, CargoSmart improved visibility, sped up decision-making, and co-designed custom analyses and dashboards for customers. The results were substantial: release cycles dropped from about two weeks to daily releases, the number of vessels monitored increased 4x in 18 months, vessel schedule updates completed within an hour rose to 90% from 32%, and a vessel speed and route monitoring application helped reduce fuel consumption by up to 3.5%.
