Universal Atlantic Systems launches weekly drive-through reports with Tibbo

Universal Atlantic Systems, Inc. (UAS) was approached by McDonald's restaurant owners who needed a way to monitor the efficiency of their drive-through operations, as they had no existing system to count cars or estimate service times. UAS, an integrated security systems provider, contracted Tibbo to help create this solution.

Tibbo implemented a system using Maxbotix ultrasonic sensors and their Tibbo Project System (TPS) devices to detect vehicles and generate time-stamped events. These events were sent to an AggreGate server on AWS, with Tibbo developing custom software modules, weekly reports, and a dedicated monitoring app for restaurant owners. The solution successfully provided real-time statistics and efficiency reports. Furthermore, the modular TPS design acted as a platform for expansion, allowing UAS to easily add numerous additional sensors and features requested by the restaurant owners post-deployment.
