Holiday Inn San Antonio Riverwalk needed a way to automate its 225-space parking garage, reduce labor-intensive manual pass handling, and stop revenue loss from guest parking disputes. Before working with TIBA Parking, the hotel relied on attendants, handwritten passes, and manual charges, which limited overnight/transient parking revenue and led to an estimated $50,000 a year in claim-related adjustments.
TIBA Parking implemented a fully automated parking access and revenue control system with an entry station, a credit-card-only exit station, and TIBA SmartPark integrated with Opera PMS. The result was immediate: the garage began advertising public parking, generated $4,400 in new transient revenue in the first month, grew to more than $14,000 by November, and is expected to produce over $100,000 annually. TIBA Parking also helped the hotel cut labor by one attendant per shift, save about $50,000 in claims adjustments, and achieve full automation with no service or maintenance issues reported.
