Thunderhead worked with Marston’s, the world’s largest brewer of cask ale, to solve a common problem: valuable customer information on website and in pubs was anonymous and slipping away, undermining Marston’s goal to “bring social back” to their pubs and build lasting customer relationships.
Using the ONE Engagement Hub in a six‑week trial, Thunderhead matched website and email interactions to nearly 20,000 customer records and captured thousands more anonymous behaviors (site views, menu choices, beer preferences, Wi‑Fi connections). Personalised messaging across web, email and in‑pub touchpoints drove a 6x higher response rate, generated rich customer insights for smarter marketing and staff recommendations, and suggested the potential to connect with ~200,000 customers in a year.
