Case Study: HKS achieves secure, fast global file sharing and centralized project data management with Thru

A Thru Case Study

Preview of the HKS Case Study

How HKS uses Thru to manage data for large-scale projects, including Cowboys Stadium

HKS, Inc., a global architecture firm of about 1,400 professionals, needed to replace unreliable, insecure FTP servers that were causing lost files, lack of tracking, missed deadlines and cost overruns on large-scale projects. HKS chose Thru to provide a modern file-sharing solution (the Thru Platform and CDN) that would improve security, administration and ease-of-use for transferring very large project files.

Thru implemented its Platform with integrations to Outlook/Notes/Salesforce, secure cloud storage, admin controls and a Content Delivery Network to distribute files from edge servers near recipients. The rollout began with 100 project users and quickly expanded enterprise-wide; now over 1,500 users share files in the Thru Cloud. Thru cut costs by replacing multiple FTP servers, sped global file delivery to a fraction of FTP time, eliminated duplication and rework, enabled auditing/tracking, and delivered rapid ROI.
