Berghof Group uses Thru platform integrated with IBM Notes for secure file transfers

Berghof Group, a 250–500 employee German research and manufacturing company, needed a modern, secure file-sharing solution that integrated with their IBM Notes environment to replace an insecure, management‑intensive FTP server and protect sensitive intellectual property. They selected the Thru platform integrated with IBM Notes to meet requirements for enhanced security, visibility and seamless workflow integration.

Thru was deployed on‑premises as a VM under vSphere with an IBM Notes add‑in (integrated by local partner treeConsult), enabling users to send large or unlimited‑size files from within Notes, set download notifications and expirations, and retain data on company servers. The Thru solution delivered improved visibility and control, enhanced transaction security, reduced administration time and costs, and required no additional end‑user training, and was rolled out to all users after a successful pilot.
