Ripley, a leading retail company in Chile and Peru, faced a challenge with its mobile experience. Although it had a website, it was not optimized for mobile use, leading to a poor customer experience and very low conversion rates on smartphones. Partnering with ThoughtWorks, the company sought to address this critical gap and meet its customers' preference for mobile self-service.
ThoughtWorks developed a user-centric mobile application for Ripley, starting with a Lean Inception to define objectives. The solution focused on implementing technical best practices and a seamless end-to-end experience. The results were highly successful, with the app achieving over 4.4 stars in the App Store and more than 100,000 downloads in the Play Store, significantly enhancing Ripley's mobile channel and opening new opportunities for the business.
