Measured Progress - Customer Case Study

Measured Progress, a leader in K–12 customized assessments, needed a next‑generation online assessment platform (Nimble Item Banking) and a way to improve collaboration between business and technology under new CIO Thomas Squeo. The challenge was to deliver a complex, high‑performance, user‑centered system quickly while transitioning the organization to Agile ways of working.

ThoughtWorks ran a two‑week Lean Innovation workshop and delivered the product via two‑week Agile iterations using a hybrid onshore/nearshore team in Brazil. The first release went live in nine months with a fast, intuitive UI, significant cost savings, and rapid adoption of Agile across IT—helping Measured Progress win a major consortium contract and providing a foundation for future growth.
