The Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience (AIME) connects Indigenous high-school students with university mentors to improve school completion and pathways to further education and employment. As AIME expanded into South Australia and Western Australia and grew to 30+ presenters, the organisation needed a scalable, consistent training solution to replace time-consuming face-to-face preparation.

ThoughtWorks delivered a working online training portal in four weeks using an Agile approach, integrating Rails on Heroku, Google Docs and OAuth single sign‑on, Vimeo for videos, and Git for code. The portal lets presenters access materials, upload recorded presentations for supervisor feedback, and build an archive—streamlining training across 60+ staff in five states, speeding mentor preparation, and supporting delivery to over 2,000 students and 1,000+ university mentors.
