OrderPay adopts a culture of data fluency with ThoughtSpot

OrderPay, a London-based mobile payments platform serving more than 2,600 UK restaurants and hospitality venues, needed a faster, more self-service way to answer detailed questions about performance and customer behavior. Its legacy open-source BI tool was heavily code-driven and required constant SQL support, overwhelming a two-person data team as the company grew rapidly.

OrderPay implemented ThoughtSpot to give employees across Sales, Marketing, Product, Customer Support, and Operations self-service analytics. The result was a shift to a more data-driven culture, with about 70% user adoption and 25% power users within eight months, and 80% of OrderPay’s data available in ThoughtSpot after six months. By connecting sales and performance data, ThoughtSpot also helped OrderPay surface new insights, compare expected versus actual results, and support underperforming venue operators more effectively.
