Iotatech disrupts UK insurance industry with ThoughtSpot

Iotatech, a London-based fintech launched in 2016, built a cloud-native SaaS insurance platform to help UK insurers tackle high claims processing and administrative costs without degrading service. Facing an industry where many incumbents are slow to digitize, Iotatech aimed to offer a pay-as-you-go, per-transaction pricing model that avoids large up-front fees and per-seat charges.

To deliver this, Iotatech integrated ThoughtSpot (with consultancy support from Assimil8) into its AWS-based, event-driven, multi-tenant stack—completing the integration in about three months. The result is searchable, AI-driven analytics (SpotIQ) that enable fast tenant provisioning, minimal IT involvement, and powerful insights (claim spikes, regional cost variations, claim-type breakdowns) that open doors commercially and help insurers optimize costs; early market response has been very positive.
