Hp Democratizes Access to Ai-driven Business Insights Using Snowflake and Thoughtspot

HP Inc., a global leader in personal systems, printers, and 3D printing based in Palo Alto, faced a scaling crisis in BI and analytics as its partner ecosystem — which generates 80% of revenue — required faster, broader access to product, inventory, and channel data. Legacy OLAP cubes, a custom .NET UI, and hundreds of offline reports produced 24–48 hour refreshes, three-month data deployments, and a BI team overwhelmed by requests, leaving end users without reliable self-service insights.

HP implemented Snowflake for data warehousing and secure data sharing and ThoughtSpot for search- and AI-driven analytics, using Embrace to provide live access to Snowflake data. The combined solution eliminated bottlenecks, enabled self-service analysis, and accelerated partner workflows: 350 users are onboarded, ~155,000 queries ran in six months, partners now receive data back in under 24 hours, and the BI team has shifted from dashboarding to ensuring high-quality data.
