CarTrawler, the Dublin-based travel technology platform, needed a faster and more accessible way for its Data Insights team and business users to work with complex booking, customer, and supplier data. Its homegrown BI tool had become difficult to maintain and too dependent on analysts, while the team also needed a cloud-based solution that could work with tools like Amazon SageMaker and Snowflake without requiring users to learn SQL.

CarTrawler implemented ThoughtSpot Cloud to let business users query curated datasets through self-service search while freeing analysts to focus on higher-value work. With ThoughtSpot, the company now supports real-time access to 20 curated data sources via Liveboards, improved collaboration with partners and suppliers, and faster decision-making; the proof of concept won unanimous approval from all 10 test users, and training was so intuitive that supply team users could write queries in 60 minutes.
