ACCA’s intranet connects employees across the world under one global strategy

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the world’s leading body for professional accountants with 1,200 employees across 95 locations, faced a major internal-communications challenge when launching its Strategy to 2020. Growth had left the organization fragmented across an old one-way intranet, Yammer, and multiple email lists, making it hard to share up-to-date strategic information and gain global buy-in.

ACCA implemented ThoughtFarmer to create a single social intranet called Arthur, giving the platform a friendly persona, embedding the Strategy to 2020 (monthly CEO vlogs and prominent links), improving findability, tailoring newsfeeds, and decommissioning legacy systems. The result was a unified, more engaged workforce with dedicated team spaces, clearer strategic alignment, ongoing refinements like a “Think Ahead” homepage carousel, and sustained improvements in internal communications.
