Spokane Public Schools - Customer Case Study

Spokane Public Schools, the largest district in eastern Washington, faced rising social and economic needs across a highly diverse student population while planning facility upgrades and bond proposals. With traditional surveys and forums failing to reach a broad, representative cross-section of parents, staff and community members, the district needed a better way to gather meaningful input to align projects with student and community priorities.

Using Thoughtexchange to establish a two‑way dialogue, Spokane engaged over 3,500 participants who shared 7,800 thoughts and assigned 137,000 stars to priorities. That input helped the district focus on technology, safety and elementary‑school improvements (and deprioritize projects like the Albi Stadium upgrade), build a bond proposal that did not raise the tax rate, and boost public confidence that the right projects were selected for the right reasons.
