Snoqualmie Valley School District, a rapidly growing district east of Seattle, faced the challenge of reconciling the priorities of incoming tech‑industry families with those of long‑time community residents. Traditional engagement—surveys, town halls and e‑meetings—failed to produce enough representative, actionable feedback to guide district‑wide priorities for student success.

The district adopted Thoughtexchange to run a two‑way, community‑wide engagement that produced 2,283 participants, 6,431 thoughts and 113,080 stars. The platform delivered timely, easy‑to‑use data that clarified common priorities, validated which views were widely held, and informed School Improvement Plans and the District Strategic Plan—helping leaders make data‑backed decisions and build broader community trust.
