Save the Cat! delivers courses on screenwriting direct to consumer

Save the Cat!, an entity of Blake Snyder Enterprises that educates screenwriters through bestselling books and weekend in-person “Beat Sheet” workshops, needed to expand beyond limited in-person classes in Los Angeles and New York and reach more readers. To create an online offering, Save the Cat! chose Thought Industries and its Learning Business Platform to build a direct-to-consumer version of their Beat Sheet Screenwriting Workshop.

Thought Industries implemented the Learning Business Platform and helped Save the Cat! launch the online Beat Sheet workshop in May 2017, with two instructors alternating sessions, audio/video/discussion tools, and new enrollment-cap features to create exclusivity and community. The platform moved Save the Cat! from no online workshops to a live, monetized course catalog (workshops listed at $350), grew their online presence, and set the stage for future interactive features and webinar integration with Thought Industries.
