The Village of Garden City faced the challenge of stabilizing the deteriorating St. Paul's School, a historic building listed on the National Register of Historic Places and one of Long Island's most endangered sites. They engaged Thornton Tomasetti to provide structural renewal, envelope renewal, and historic preservation services to assess the structure and develop a plan for its future.

Thornton Tomasetti conducted a detailed condition assessment using drone surveys and their proprietary T2D2® AI software to analyze the building envelope. Their team provided a prioritized list of repairs, made the building watertight, and offered structural assessments to assist with future reuse planning. This work by Thornton Tomasetti successfully stabilized the architectural treasure, providing the Village with a clear path for immediate repairs and more time to develop a long-term strategy for the building's next life.
