Vasakronan certifies 50% of portfolio in one year with Thornton Tomasetti

Vasakronan, Sweden's largest property holding company, faced the challenge of certifying its extensive portfolio of 160 mixed-use commercial properties under the LEED Volume program. To achieve its ambitious sustainability goals, Vasakronan enlisted Thornton Tomasetti to provide LEED EB:OM Volume consulting services.

Thornton Tomasetti developed policies and EB:OM prototypes, facilitated workshops, and acted as a liaison for certification. The solution was highly successful, with approximately 90% of the projects achieving LEED Gold certification. Thornton Tomasetti's work helped Vasakronan significantly reduce its environmental impact, saving as much as 30% of potable water consumption across its entire portfolio.
