The Molasky Group of Companies required a structural, seismic, and protective design for the new Portland FBI Field Office Complex, a multi-building, high-security facility. Thornton Tomasetti was engaged to provide these specialized engineering services to meet the project's stringent security and operational requirements.

Thornton Tomasetti implemented a collaborative and innovative design process, utilizing real-time data transfer and design charettes to efficiently incorporate all security needs. Their solution successfully delivered a cost-effective, state-of-the-art facility that met the complex multi-hazard design challenges. The completed 180,000-square-foot complex opened in 2009.
