Bigelow Labs for Ocean Sciences achieves 54% energy cost savings with Thornton Tomasetti

Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences, a non-profit oceanographic research institution, required a new, highly sustainable facility for its work analyzing global ocean ecosystems. Thornton Tomasetti provided sustainability consulting and energy modeling services to support the design and construction of this project.

Thornton Tomasetti's solution included a unique daylighting design with window shading and responsive lighting controls, high-efficiency energy recovery equipment, and the installation of photovoltaic panels.
