Case Study: Trowers & Hamlins achieves global employee benefits engagement with Thomsons Online Benefits

A Thomsons Online Benefits Case Study

Preview of the Trowers & Hamlins Case Study

How Trowers & Hamlins launched a fully interactive global flexible benefits scheme, the first of its kind in the legal sector, empowering employees to manage their own benefits

Trowers & Hamlins, an international law firm with 700 employees across the UK, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Dubai, Egypt and Oman, needed to replace a UK-centric, paper-based flexible benefits scheme that had low awareness, poor participation and limited perceived value. Working with Thomsons Online Benefits, the firm also needed a global solution that could improve engagement, retention and the employee experience within tight implementation timescales.

Thomsons Online Benefits designed and implemented a fully interactive global flexible benefits scheme branded th&me, supported by Darwin™ technology to keep the program compliant across multiple countries and integrated with payroll. The new scheme improved employee engagement and recruitment, with average perceived value up 25%, 80% of employees saying it was easier to use, a 10% reduction in staff turnover, a 400% increase in take-up in international offices, and £33,000 saved annually in benefits costs.
