Engine Group, the UK’s largest independent communications company, faced the challenge of harmonising benefits across 12 businesses with different cultures, pay policies, and providers, while also preparing for auto-enrolment and improving benefits communications. Engine worked with Thomsons Online Benefits to create a more seamless, centralised benefits experience for its diverse workforce.

Thomsons Online Benefits implemented the “My Benefits, My Choice” benefits portal, tailored communications, and a migration plan to a central scheme. The launch was a strong success: 85% of employees and partners logged on, 316 flex selections were made at launch, more than 250 employees took part in health checks, and Engine increased annual employer NI savings by more than £20,000.
