Enterprise Business Intelligence Helps Build Corporate Business Platform

Cripps Harries Hall LLP, a South East England law firm of about 260 staff that serves both private and corporate clients, was held back by an outdated accounting system that limited integrated time‑billing, multi‑currency handling and meaningful management information. The firm needed a solution to give partners and fee earners clear visibility of performance — realisation, WIP and profitability — to run the practice in a more commercial, efficient way.

After implementing Thomson Reuters Elite Enterprise and Enterprise Business Intelligence (built on Business Objects), the firm deployed WebView dashboards and seven BI report categories (time, WIP, billing, credit control, matter stats and profitability) that put KPIs on every desktop. The result was a significant cultural shift toward a business‑savvy mindset, improved client reporting, more accurate realisation and actionable insights that helped rebalance staffing, tighten credit control and increase operational efficiency.
