National Railway Museum boosts visitor numbers 15% with Thompson Brand Partners

The National Railway Museum engaged Thompson Brand Partners for a rebranding and positioning project. The Museum, the world's largest railway museum, needed a new identity that would appeal to more families while still retaining its core audience of rail enthusiasts, centered around the concept of 'Connecting Generations'.

Thompson Brand Partners created a contemporary new identity reflecting railway heritage, complete with a dynamic logo, brand guidelines, and graphic elements. The results were excellent, with visitor numbers increasing by 15% and family visits rising from 41% to 59% within two years, despite a declining local market. The rebrand also won a DBA Design Effectiveness Award.
