DreamWorks launches NFT avatars for the metaverse in collaboration with Gala's VOX

VOXverse, a collaborative metaverse project from Gala and Universal, sought to launch a generative NFT collection of 8,888 DreamWorks Trolls avatars. Their challenge was to ensure a seamless and successful NFT drop for consumers, which required a simple solution for complex blockchain interactions like minting, allowlists, and delayed reveals without having to build everything from scratch. They utilized thirdweb's 'Edition Drop' pre-built smart contract to manage the launch.

Using thirdweb's NFT Drop tool allowed VOXverse to easily define the specific conditions for the NFT claim process. The solution enabled a successful launch of the ERC-721 collectibles, which provided immediate utility across multiple games and metaverse experiences. By leveraging thirdweb's tools, the VOXverse team could focus on their core development of an expansive gaming narrative and interoperability, rather than on the underlying blockchain infrastructure.
