Omoda completely modernizes its business software with Thinkwise

Omoda, the Dutch fashion retailer with 37 stores and multiple webshops, needed to modernize its aging AS/400-based ERP and related business applications to support rapid growth and changing retail demands. After challenges with outsourced development, limited flexibility in standard ERP options, and difficulty finding AS/400 talent, Omoda looked for a faster, more controllable way to insource and rebuild its software.

Thinkwise, together with implementation partner Vanenburg, helped Omoda migrate its business-critical processes in phases using Thinkwise’s model-driven development platform. The company replaced modules such as purchasing, logistics, finance, inventory administration, and its PIM, with the full ERP planned to be phased out. Thinkwise significantly increased development speed and flexibility, improved cooperation with the business, and shortened time-to-market for new capabilities, while enabling Omoda to better meet end-user needs with customized front ends.
