Florensis optimizes greenhouse planning with Thinkwise Platform

Florensis, a global leader in breeding and supplying young plants, faced growing complexity in greenhouse scheduling as volumes, varieties and new sustainable facilities expanded. Planning was largely done in Excel and could no longer scale; the company also wanted to centralize data and become more data-driven. After a selection process with PwC, Florensis chose the Thinkwise low-code platform to address these challenges.

Using the Thinkwise platform, Florensis completed a successful Proof of Value and delivered the first version of a new KPI-driven greenhouse planning application within two months. Thinkwise and Florensis are training developers on an agile approach to extend the solution, which centralizes data, replaces fragile Excel processes, provides a 2D greenhouse overview and enables faster, more accurate scheduling across Europe — with the first release scheduled before the end of 2021.
