Antea Group, an internationally operating engineering and consulting firm, was repeatedly forced to redevelop its Public Space Management System (GBI) as technology and business rules changed. To stop discarding and rebuilding the software, Antea Group selected the Thinkwise model-driven low-code development platform to redevelop GBI (GBI - Gemeentelijk Beheer Informatiesysteem) and deliver it as a licensed product to municipalities.

Thinkwise built GBI version 6 with a modular, task-oriented approach that produces consistent user interfaces and very few defects; in a two‑week pilot Thinkwise met 80% of requirements and the longest development overrun was only three days. The delivered solution reduced testing effort, sped development, and is now used by over one hundred Dutch municipalities (serving 7.5 million citizens), meeting Antea Group’s goal of future-proof software and enabling plans to expand into Belgium and France.
